    My heart is nobody’s home
    a nearly empty space
    with worn-out furniture
    a disconnected phone
    echoe of exhilirating joy
    fortifified windows and doors
    to breathless rooms.

    On the broken kitchen table
    the fire once was dancing
    when we were making love
    Didn’t it make us

    a promise to grow?

    Never was I prepared
For the words that turned bitter
    Words that made weapons
    to break down a house

    now nothing remains of us
    almost nothing remained
    of my defeated heart

but a faint breath of love
    quietly treasured
    hidden in my jewelry box

got the table up and repaired with a few nails
    and with bare hands, I
collected the tears, like precious pearls
    the rooms..
    well, those I am redecorating

the fire may be burning fearlessly
    food on the stove
    But nobody’s home
    not here, not for you
    cause this time around
    my heart is nobody’s home
    but mine.

Nothing is worse vacant heart syndrome!
    This was scribed perfectly.
I especially love the ending and rebuilding with the "no vacancy" sign on the door!
