Black Entertainment : No Spoilers but Star Trek II Could have been more Creative

As a Trek fan since childhood, I was shocked at the lack of creativity in Into Darkness. The original Rodenberry wrote modern day fables and mystery plays, this was a rehash of an old story (with a twist)

To begin with, actors and directors a part of the mix, and producer pull it all together...

Yes, indeed, Gene Roddenberry created STAR TREK, but most (if not all) of those memorable stories were based on what other writers (not Gene) turned into screenplays, then were made into TV series episodes, and if Abrams came up with was a rehashing of some episode, nothing new or news about that. to me...

Just curious why you brought that up to begin with on this black issues oriented website....
