Have you and I
resolved to know
that we've come
upon a closed passage
with air seaping
out so quickly
leaving no room
left to breathe

Have we reached
the ends' impasse
when we bypassed
an untimely beginning

Can we agree to disagree
about how you overtook
my subsistence
and
squeezed...leaving me
airlessly g-a-sp-i-ng
so hard as to not
leave an open space
in my heart
to compose another
aspirated s-i-g-h
of love and relief

Did you know I had fallen
into the very oxygen of you
only to watch as you
abruptly remove the
mask from my respirator
which made me short-winded
and temporarily
incapacitated...
turning
Code Blue~
needing
your love's CPR to be
revived back to
a state of normalcy ~
only to see
you escaping
through the ventillation
behind your own created,
self-imposed chaos
because you were not
ready to inhale me
completely...
but I exhaled
for a life
with you ~
whereas you only needed
a whiff....and a sniff...
So, I continue
to search
for the elements of
you in the darkness
of a lost silence
and from within
my own
equiparencies
when you
left me in
tight quarters
with
...no
......room
......... to -- breathe
