    The last dish is shattered
sent out on flight behind an obscenity that I...
I would have gotten a backhand for
    momma are you there?
    daddy where'd you go?
    I'm tired of this/
falling alseep praying for my dreams
    to save me/
sending out S.O.S signals with my tears/
cries muffled by a past love dying...today/
today I reside in the closet...
grew tired of standing on the battle lines
that divide my mother and father

    .........................................................

My father and mother once lover's
once in love/ once loving just because /
now burying what was once a blooming wildflower
in their souls, so deep in their self-hate/their eyes bleed
each other's images / vandalizing my innocence with their

    ............bull....manure (momma said don't curse)

that the halo that once hung above my head is now
choking me into the corner of this closet...............

will they ever find me hidden beneath words spewed
like bonfire breaths left to destroy my spirit/ will they
hear the crackling/the burning?/will they hear it?

or are they too trapped locked in their own closets
    hiding from themselves.

This was so chocked FULL of feeling...
You painted such a dark and painful picture
That I felt compelled to find and rescue the child.
Thank you so much for sharing this story.

    Much Peace to you,
    Akilah

The visuals were so intense, drawing us even closer to take a look at such an awful experience, that too many children endure. Your words were precise, as per your usual.
