    No Fear
    By Manasiac

I attempted to take my own life at 10 years of age
    With No Fear
I have run from the police and attempted to harm them
And when I was arrested I did not shed a tear

I attempted to stab my uncle at a young age
    With No Fear
I attempted to take him out
    And my pledge was sincere

    I used to fight
    With No Fear
I threw away 4 years of my life to jail
I survived with a heart full of malice
While others ridiculed me with their negative jeer

    However last night
I think I lost my first fight

    While the flames burned
    And my insides turned
I attempted to rescue a man
    And fear seized me

Your face flashed across my mind
    And all I could do
Is pray within that quick second
Too see you one more time

    I was full of fear
Fear that I will no longer have you near
I had the fear that I would never see you age
I had the fear that I would never see the beautiful children
    I would help raise

I feared that I would never see you accomplish your goals
I feared that your soul I would never again
    Have a chance to hold

In that moment I realized that my former life was suicidal
    And full of death
I feared losing something for the first time

For the first time in my life
I thought about how my actions would impact others
    And not myself

    No Fear

Great write-- I don't know if this is relevant but it popped in my head after reading this:
"There is nothing to fear, but fear itself"

this began hard hitting...snapping one's attention, completely
and suddenly...it turns around, reveals its true face and becomes heart stopping...
    poignant and moving...
understanding the levels and variations of fear...
and the affects that fear can have on someone,

even making them realize how deeply they love another

    because loving someone that deeply....
    is truly a fearless act

    I absolutely....Love this poem!
    Thanks for sharing it! :grouphug:

    Very Nice Manasiac

" In that moment I realized that my former life was suicidal
    And full of death
I feared losing something for the first time "

Life comes around full circle, you never know what portion of the circle you will be in as it turns. Take on the rest of your life with no fear, knowing that you now have found someone, and a reason to live. If you hadn't been born, present in a particular time and place. Imagine those today that would have been gripped in fear.

    poignant and moving...
THIS WAS A GREAT WRITE POET
i like your poetry because it is too free flowing
To be locked in cages of white pages
It rages like the Nile from South to North
Springing forth from your pens like newly freed slaves
And raining feces on all false deities, and poets ....teach on brotha ..this was felt!!....hookup

Allowing yourself to find love, and allowing that love to embrace you releases much that you have locked within. It has released a vulnerability, which is both scary and beautiful, beautiful because of the depths of it. I cannot say enough about the raw emotion of this piece. It truly touched me....this write was beyond awesome, poet.
