The Deepwater Horizon disaster caused headlines around the world, yet the people who live in the Niger delta have had to live with environmental catastrophes for decades

It is a nightmare and the manifestation of neocolonialism since the displacement of the Ogoni people, but the Black president there will gun down anyone protesting, with a Black president here,
here we at least have the opportunity to change policy by voicing our outrage, as we did in the 60s.

    Good morning, sis...

And, a shoutback, i. e., from a great great grandson of a former old Benin resident, etc.

    (Smile)...

But on to more serious business:

    First of all?

Generally speaking, I and others need an update about modern day Nigeria, and more in terms of the specifics as, i. e., as regards your nation's ongoing enviromental crisis...

    Above and beyond that:

My hopes and prayers your nation finds easier and quicker means/ways/etc. to resolve that particular issue and problem/etc.

In the Spirit of Sankofa and Real Truth!

Wow! The International court of justice, laughable...ty Seneb for the report...Peace In,

There is an overwhelming sense that the big oil companies act as if they are beyond the law. Bassey said: "What we conclude from the Gulf of Mexico pollution incident is that the oil companies are out of control.

"It is clear that BP has been blocking progressive legislation, both in the US and here. In Nigeria, they have been living above the law. They are now clearly a danger to the planet. The dangers of this happening again and again are high. They must be taken to the international court of justice."

according to economic hitman Jim Perkins,
dictatorships are supported by the US to ensure that multinationals can operate above the law.

There is still a question though since this ish in Nigeria has been in the news for years,

why is BP acting as though it is above the law here in a so called democracy?

This has been a regular occurrence there since the 1970s.
