Some are probably saying, "who is Josh Gordon?"
Well, that is more than likely due to the fact that he was suspended for most of the 2014 season.

I think he came back to the NFL around the same time James Harrison snuck back in.

I also vaguely remember the name, as I thought he was cut.
But he supposedly (from what I hear), had one of the best seasons of any WR in 2013

Cris Carter thinks the Browns should cut Josh Gordon

"I feel for the kid. And I feel for all kids in this situation. My situation is very, very similar but there were some differences," Carter said. "If I'm the Cleveland Browns, and this is gut-wrenching to say this, but I really believe the only thing that's going to help the kid is if they release him."

Michael Irvin rips Cris Carter for Josh Gordon advice: 'His *** is out of line'
    July 9, 2014

“Even though I love Cris to death … I don’t know what year it was, we were in the Pro Bowl, [Cris] said to my wife — to my wife — ‘You know, Mike would never, he would never come out of his problem until you leave him,'” Irvin said, his voice rising. “‘Til you leave him!’ For years I’ve held that. I’ve never shared that with anybody. I was so hurt when Cris … because he was out of line [bleep] then and he’s out of line now.”

Browns' Josh Gordon suspended for one year without pay
    February 4, 2015

"As we have conveyed, we are disappointed to once again be at this point with Josh. Throughout his career we have tried to assist him in getting support like we would with any member of our organization," Farmer said. "Unfortunately our efforts have not resonated with him. It is evident that Josh needs to make some substantial strides to live up to the positive culture we are trying to build this football team upon. Our hope is that this suspension affords Josh the opportunity to gain some clarity in determining what he wants to accomplish moving forward and if he wants a career in the National Football League."

    Josh Gordon responds

Now, I messed up again. It happened about four weeks ago.

As most everyone knows, I missed a considerable portion of the 2014 season because I was suspended by the league. The details in relation to my reinstatement, however, are important to understand.

In connection with the DWI case, the league — in consideration of the fact that my blood-alcohol level was just .01 over the legal limit — agreed to shorten my punishment from four games lost to two. These games were tacked on to my eight-game suspension that had been levied on account of my inadvertently inhaling second-hand marijuana smoke last offseason.

That punishment — while harsh, given what my lab results clearly showed, including a backup sample that was under the league threshold — was just. I foolishly put myself in a precarious situation, one which I could have easily avoided if I had thought more clearly about the potential ramifications of my actions and who I chose to spend time around.

As a strict condition to my reinstatement in Week 12, I had to agree not only to abstain from drinking for the rest of the season, but also to submit to an alcohol screen as part of my in-season drug testing under the league’s substance-abuse protocol. Did I think that was excessive given I had never had any issue whatsoever with alcohol? Yes. Did I think it was hypocritical that a professional league making hundreds of millions of dollars off beer sponsorships was telling me not to drink? Yes. Did I so much as blink at the condition? No.

Oh well, Josh will just have to deal with the fact that the Browns don't want him anymore, and they went to the NFL commissioner to figure out the best way to get rid of him without having to pay.

Colt McCoy remains starter, Josh Gordon nearly traded in 2013

Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports the Browns plan to pursue an "impact" wide receiver this offseason, and that Josh Gordon "no longer factors into any plans."

GM Ray Farmer said as much in his Tuesday statement confirming Gordon's year-long suspension, but we don't buy that Gordon has been completely put out of mind. If that were true, he would have already been cut. Instead, the Browns can keep Gordon stashed on the reserve/suspended list while his $1.068 million 2015 salary tolls for 2016.

    After Stephen Smith claims:

"America's the land of second chances, especially in the world of sports. And how old is this guy Skip, 23?

You don't shut the door on somebody forever, I mean mass murderers, people like that, sure. But you don't shut the door on individuals with problems at the age of 23.

With that being said, I'm done with Josh Gordon
    "

Notice also how Smith brings "race" into his response while comparing Gordon with Manziel

"If there's anything I can do, I am more than happy to help"

So he is done with him, but is more than happy to help him?
