yeah...
next time you shoot a smile my way
warm enough to melt winter into spring
even as summer turns to fall
I won't be so distracted
hopin' I won't have my head stuck
in the cosmos
in the micro epic battles
of bliss and bliss
oblivion and enlightenment
ignorance and understanding
where I feel I float endlessly
to divine currents spanning
space and time
yeah next time...
when you cut those pretty eyes
at me so knowingly
sending me volumes of
intention and emotion
enough ice breakin' to crack glaciers
I won't be so cold on the
trail of clues leading my sight
straight to you
off somewhere where
all leads seem to end
or never begin
see
I'm hopin the next times
I'll be in a ready frame of mind
you know
like inclined to return notion
with a gesture or motion of my own
yeah next time...
next time I'll say hi
