The turning of a New Year
Feeling none of the joyous songs
    That once was sung
    Depression coming on
    Beat down
    Breaking down
    Spilling into a chill mode
    Laying low
    Catching that breath
    Switch the Tupac CD
    To classic Jazz
    An inner mourning
    Taking over
    Searching inside for peace
    Caught between
    Reality, Fantasy, Insanity
    Sometimes one side
    Leaning more
To the left or the right
    Rarely there is a balance
    Made new friends
    See them go
    Build new bridges
    Repairing old one
    Dark cloud
    Coming from the horizon
    Depression
    Events repeating
    People hungry, babies crying
    The wealthy partying
    Spending money wildly
    Switch the Classic Jazz CD
    To mellow Blues
Can’t save for a rainy day
Every day seem like a rainy day
Can’t be faking like things are ok
    New Year-Old Song
    Call Depression

I love this, sistah, and it hits home for a lotta people. Sure tha nature of life is change, but some change - like seeing friends go out of your life - isn't easy. Peace and love to you, sistah, during this time. Keep playin those mellow tunes to soothe.

    feeling the
    whirl of emotion
    it's a struggle
    indeed to change
    the tune of that
    song...to embrace
    the new year
    peace to you sister...

    Bad time of the year

Bluewater, When I think of the New Year the first thing comes to mind is when A Lincoln signed the document to free our people on New Year, I think the year was 1865. Since that time the question that comes to me, "Are we really free?" That is a question I always ask.

i like the formatting of this, the rush of images and emotions. speaking on difficult topics assures understanding if the flow is right, and i think this is...
