'Hispanic' is a catch all category:

Not all people (who just speak the same lingo) also share the same things in common, etc., i. e., thruout the Americas..

    FYI

No disrespect, but recasting white comic book characters with black replacements is one thing--(as in a marketing ploy)--(at best an idealized notion of ushering us into a post racial society), but the reality is of continuing to keep blacks on the outside, as regards advancing their own takes on the biz...

Ask today's young folks whether they are impressed or not...

The few around me don't even read mainstream comics!

    FYI

We are just not going to make today's youth zerox copies of ourselves:

And we do need to be more supportive of what the progressive ones are striving to usher in next!

I can see your point, I always argue that we have real life super heroes no need for a fantastic superman.

Different things work for different individuals etc.

As long as it's on the positive and progressive side, it's all real...

Just let our young folk have more positive images of themselves...

As the thread on black women science fiction writers reveal, now we also have new means/ways/etc. to dream, for our own sakes, as well...

    (BIG smile)...
