Riding on the highway with you
We discuss your tickets
Hundreds of dollars worth of tickets
From your “crumb days”
When you drove the gray “CAR”

Now we’ve upgraded
Driving in the Explorer SUV
I sorta mention casually
That I “ran” the E-Z pass
And you FLIP

The **** out on me
Double standards – curiosity
How come it’s okay for you
But not okay for me
You see

Don’t talk to me
When you’re feeling like the “man”
When you’re feeling like you’re running thangs
And I’m a runner up
Because I hold it down

And when we drive off the lot
Upgraded once again
With the Infiniti
You kissin’ on me
Remembering why you dig me

**** I gave you a family
Don’t you know you’re “upgraded”
Just by being with me?
I guess you do remember
Cause it was a nice ride home
