I am Co-ordinating a Daughter-Mother Tea for my daughter(s) Brownie Girl Scout Troop. Our theme is: "GIRL POWER" They will be performing a play entitled "Me in the Mirror" that deals with the insecurites that some African Americans have with our features, such as juicy lips, big hips, curly hair, etc. The girls also will be the musical selection by, India Arie, called "Video" Where I need your help is with a few poems that go with the theme "Girl Power" and the overall flow of the event, which is "Self-Acceptance and tolerance for the differences in others with a bit of an Afrocentric flavoring. We need a welcome poem, our troop has invited other troops within our council and we need a general poem for about the middle of the event. We thank everyone and anyone in advance for their help. Peace.
