:geek: Panafrica.. hello my brotha... i love when i see your posts in the forums.. u provide humorous thought provoking intelligent comments and posts , which are much appreciated...

anywhoo natural hair stying for babies uh :?:

well.. im more knowledgable in terms of adults but i do my little cousins hair ( shes 2 years of age) , and the result is managable ,healthy and NATURAL groomed hair i'll share my simple tips..

i wash and condition babies hair with baby shampoo or conditioner-- making sure i comb babies hair with the conditioner on her head.-- if i dont use baby shampoo i use products from http://www.ebenenaturals.com these products are all natural which i prefer when doing hair esp for babies..
i also once or twice a month deep condition with hair mayonnaise or pure virgin olive oil put a plastic cap on her head and let it soak for 15 or 20 min rinse and proceed with the following...

after washing and conditoning and drying-- leaving her hair damp i oil with jajoba oil-- which is the oil closest to the oils that naturally secrete from our oil glands..i try not to put heavy "pore clogging" grease in her hair and the difference is remarkable.. her hair is able to breathe and grow out naturally

once her hair and scalp is oiled i style while damp which is better for "our" hair.. i do one to three ponytail puffs .. ponytails with barets and ribbions.. but maily i braid it to keep her hair protected and healthy.. ohh and of course i put a stocking cap on her end at night to keep it as neat as possible ;) what u kno about the good ole stocking cap...

:fyi: i belong to several hair forums that offer a variety of natural hair info.. these forums are made up of wonderful sistas and brothas that are friendly knowledgable and willing to assist u quickly-- check them out and post your questions and be sure to refer to their link sections and message boards.. there great brotha pan.

Thanks for the advice sister soulfulmixx! My 2 year old daughter wears her hair natural, she has never had a perm or any chemicals put in her hair. This is in keeping with my wife's African traditions. However only my wife can fix her hair! When I am left alone with my daughter I don't know what to do with her hair. Hopefully these links will give me some tips!
