Black Sports : National Sports Announcers - Are They All Former Players?

I'm sitting here watching the nba playoffs ... listening to the announcers .. wondering ... are they former players?

They talk like they could or have played better than the men on the court ...

Is that usually the case ... national sports announcers are all former national players?

How do they get in if they never played?

well sis some are former players and some went to school for this they learn the inside and out
of players and teams to call a game or predict what could be or should be of a game and to think
some of these announcers been calling the game for over 25 or 30 years
