: an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usu. 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively; also : a poem in this form usu. having a seasonal reference -- compare TANKA

Why don't we go with this formation

musical plop, plops
dancing upon the rooftops
a sleep's melody

----

fog disappearing
the sun's rising temperature
high humidities

----

sand-filled, deep potholed
reminders of the winter
covered with hot tar

-----

barefoot and playing
hopscotch games on hot asphalt
and drinking Big Red
