    If I might add again...

    spring is in the air
    bare trees spouting lime buds
    allergy season. :D

    -----

    raindrops clean sidewalks
    tears of the sky's happiness
    the beauty of spring

    Chronization...

    hai*ku (noun), plural haiku

    [Japanese]

    First appeared 1902

: an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usu. 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively; also : a poem in this form usu. having a seasonal reference -- compare TANKA

Why don't we go with this formation

    musical plop, plops
    dancing upon the rooftops
    a sleep's melody

    ----

    fog disappearing
    the sun's rising temperature
    high humidities

    ----

    sand-filled, deep potholed
    reminders of the winter
    covered with hot tar

    -----

    barefoot and playing
    hopscotch games on hot asphalt
    and drinking Big Red

well done, with one exception (you'll see it)

    She caressed my soul
the rain falls inside my home
    and She caught the tears
