    Discorporate...
    and we'll begin.

    I am the Mysterious Traveller...

    The by-product of
    a thousand miserable injustices...
    A strange enigma.
    Demon-spawn child
    of sheltered academia
    and heroin-addled NYC pimps.

    This society eats away
    at my armor...
    Astonished spectators
    view the spectacle
    of my decomposition.
    An outsider in this society...
A outcast in my own race.
Happier with Miles, Hendrix and Zappa
    than commercial black radio
    and smooth jazz.

    I am the Dark Hat,
    the cold expression.
    Tendencies, eccentric.
I come in on the off-beat
    like a Thelonious Monk tune.
    I am the contemptuous sneer
    aimed at the church...
    I see conformity
    as the most miserable imitation
    and situation to be in.

    Fractured and enigmatic,
I walk past the car wreck.
    Having seen too many,
and Trauma being my middle name.

    D.S. AL CODA
    Dissect the affected aesthetics artfully,
    glean this tone with sobriety,
    and you will find...

    the scared little boy,
    unable to make friends.

So eloquently phrased. You can't fit a square peg into a round hole, but then, we come to the realization that we aren't really square, and it doesn't matter if we fit anyway. Being round is boring, lol. I could really relate to this, awesome piece.
