It's a worm that's causing this syndrome? What is your source of information? Why is this affecting only children? Please share more about what you know!

This link from Uganda says its manageable.

Nodding Syndrome
This disease affects children between the ages of 5 to 15 years both boys and girls.
This condition is progressive but can be managed.
The symptoms reversed if you take a sick child to the nearest health centre.
The disease symptoms may continue to present even after commencement of treatment but will improve after a while. Please adhere to the treatment regime given by the health worker and do not share drugs between patients.

Try this:

AIDS mysteriously appears in Africa and the gay community in the 1980s.

As does the "Nodding Disease."

Check out this photo-essay (?): http://echwaluphotography.wordpress...m-tormented-12-year-old-girl-lives-like-pigs/

I commented there (as Onitaset):

"I thank you.
These things I never heard of. It’s shocking.
No wonder Shakespeare (in Hamlet) says, “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”
And no wonder the ancient people of Kemet wrote, “Routine and prejudice distort vision. Each man thinks his own horizon is the limit of the world.”
Human misery appears to know no bounds. My heart to this child.
Hotep!"

Then I tried "Wikipedia" for the gist: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nodding_disease

What is this about? More biological warfare?

Sometimes I wish that we could not mind the European--but this villain is dastard. Very, very dastard.
