Black Relationships : mybrotha.com

i had no interest in reading the entire article. i am sick of black men being cast in a weak light.
i have never been intimidated by a woman in my life. they all pull their panties on one leg at a time.
every woman i ever had was "successful". i never spent my time with losers.

if a black woman cannot get a man that is not my fault.
stop blaming the brothers and look in a mirror.

Hmmm....I am not sure that I understand how this article casts black men in a weak light or issues blame.

Actually in the begining of the article he states that

"As you might expect, there's always plenty of blame to go around. But this isn't a case where either party is at fault. The successful black woman's predicament is socially complex and solutions have been hard to find."

But its all good. If you find this to be useless and absent of any talking points, no problemo.

I found it to be interesting that they made a point on how men can be under a successful
woman high heels and don't have nothing to bring to the table that they don't have all ready.

I find it not true !
Men do have something they can bring to the table of a successful black woman.

Really? I didn't see that part.

My perception of the article is that the author is stating that men do indeed have a lot to bring to a woman, such as being a communicator, confidant, and supporter.

I think that the jist of this piece is that there can be different and very valuable things that a man can bring to a woman besides the traditional things that come to mind. I think that each half of the couples needs to match the needs of the other. Also what one woman or man needs can be very unique from what another needs.

There are vast reasons why an "independent" woman may find herself alone. Success can bring the ugly out of people or they forget where they came from trying to blend into the "corporate world". My two cents, I feel that a black man needs to be able to relate to a woman, be understood and just be him without the fuss. Some women don't know how to leave the briefcase at the door..there needs to be a balance and I see many women too much to the right or too much to the left. We also have to learn how to submit to some things instead of doing it all because we can. You can be independent without wearing the pants and truly respecting a man's position. I could do this or that, but I choose to submit to his lead because I trust that he's got me. When you carry a spirit of (I know some ladies are cringing at this word!) submission balanced with your independence, it will draw men to you...it takes a strong woman to move aside and let a man lead in some areas that she has the knowledge and power to do herself...I call it respect.
