    Im at war

Everyday i march out to fight

in the battlefields filled with reasons to give up.

Filled with sneak attacks on the home front.

There has been a bombing of my peace of mind,

    my heart has been invaded

my sanity becomes a prisoner of war

the enemy is killing my reality

and kidnapping and raping my will.

    I am at war

there are no soldiers to help me

    no camoflauge to disguise me

I am losing the battle with my mind

because my thoughts have become traitors

im losing the battle with reality

    because the truth hurts

im losing the battle with life

because its army doesnt fight fair

    pay respects to my happiness

the first casualty of this war

on bended knee pray for the smiles

injured and showing themselves no more

rest in peace the many dreams

that have died for this cause

and say a prayer for my soul

who wont be coming home for the holidays

because its still fighting a war

    with no end in sight..
