To be free from holy addiction,
this insidious disease of the mind
that populates reality with fanatic belief
and illusory views of the world,
is my greatest wish and desire.

Veils of deceptive and unrealistic propaganda
cover compliant minds with illogical and dangerous dogma
encouraging capitulation of thinkings' realm to fantasy
and discarding levelheaded skepticism's vital protection,
while critical thought is wasted on myth and fantasy.

Failing rational thought, is to fall prey
to the emotional seduction of superstition,
which places mental blinders over our minds
and prevents us from moving in reality.
Knowledge is the enemy of superstition
conveniently kept alive by pure ignorance
    and vast intellectual immaturity.

    Doubt dares those who waver
to stand solid, ignoring pious politics
and the riotous wrath of the righteous
    who despise differences and nonconformity.
Truth demands that you speak or forever,
stay prisoner to faulty logic and circular argument.

    A Change of Pace

I thought I would slip into something alittle more thought provoking.

    Excellent personification...

What a piece! It, simply, exudes depth (as does all of your pieces). The use of personification is amazing. Very thorough, poet...*astonished*

    Touchy

For many it is a touchy subject that cannot be mentioned, nuch less discussed, but that doesn't stop me and I fully recognize that I speak only for me and that is all I hope to do as I would not want anyone speaking for me--Ra

i agree totally with you. those who seek a deeper understand of what they stand for and what they believe make the effort to hear both sides. as always i respect those who are willing to step out and express their viewpoint for it incites thought beyond emontions. that dear philospher sir, is what you do on a constant basis.

i again commend you for your insight and your scribe. this is a piece that will open discussions for many moons to come...

now, could you please toss a bro' a life preserver or sumptin' i'm drownin' in your intellect ova' here :D:
