Jill Scott is able to fuse poetry, sensuality and soul into grooves such as "Crown Royal" and "Until then". She sings with a passion and desire that is stimulating at the core. Her delivery has a effortless strength that resonates and makes the lyrics tangible.

What does this poem have to do with Jill Scott...nothing

...but as I read it for the 3rd time I couldn't help but wonder who better to sing the sonnets and communicate the crescendo of the intimate and passionate connection between the subject of this scribe and the object of her affection than Jill Scott.

    I enjoyed this poem...as usual

    Brother Poet NittyGrit,

Seriously...you are always up in my head. I write to music and Jill...well she's my girl. Thank you for this. It made me smile. I always appreciate your comments.

I've been gone from here a long time...and somehow I knew it was time to come back and immerse myself in the flow of the gifted. Poetess, I intend to drown myself in your words! You are truly gifted, and your lyrical command of the language is fierce! I am, indeed, baptized again.... amen!
