look in the mirror at my reflection, at a face so hidden
hidden from the world in which we live, love forbidden
the world that amazes me with all of it's hate
the hate which hurts, that love that lingers, the humanity that falls, My reflection is changing, smile fading, eyes look dead, from days that i dread, that still hurt me with a burning passion, my whole body is in overload, system crashin, my only hope is hope itself, which is in my own hands, though it crumbles as society makes demands. For my reflection to look a certain way,be a certain way, dress a certain way, My mind is in delay, left right, up, down, choices collinding, i feel like a clown, I want to, i need to ,revive, So again i can feel alive, so my reflection can smile again, So my eyes can open wide again, so i can be myself AGAIN.....But this may never happen unless i let humanity in again... But the image that they portray the parts that they play, the madness they cause me every day. I look at my reflection, i see no more affection, 4 this world today, what can i say. I blame them, i blame myself, my life needs so much correction, i need self resurection..this i wonder as i look at my reflection

I believe this piece actively conveys the feelings of millions of black afrikans in the world today looking at the world with a internal view. Nicely done.
