We came to this country in chains. They kidnapped us and changed our names. We were branded just like cattle. To them, all we were was chattell. They fed us their garbage foods but our freedom they would not renew. We picked cotton, okra and greens. They treated us very mean. They beat us and scarred our backs. Just because we were Black. They raped our women and sold em too There was nothing that we could do. We were bred like, dogs and sheep. Forced to pick cotton to earn our keep. Branded, banded, scarred, and scraped. Escaped slaves were hounded from state to state. Burned, hanged, beat and abused. Called Black Sambo`s we kept them amused. Starving, freezing, and uneducated. They fed us their garbage and watched as we mated. Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, and Dred Scott. For our people they did alot. Today our chains aren`t made of metal. When we`re uneducated they are mental. So, put down the drugs, pick up some tools. Take your butt back to school. Doctors and Lawyers, we need to get. I want to see a Black President.
