My People/Precious Stones

Priceless Gems
Marked Solely
By The Color
Of Their Layers

Like Precious Stones
Abused And Broken
To A Rarity...

But Despite...

we were valuable
even in our vastness
even in our history
even in our humility

The Blind Of This Life
Refuse To Stop Hollowing Our Beauty
Will Not Cease To Beat
On The Pulse
Of Our Pride...

As If...
To Make Us
The Useless Sandstones
They Know Themselves To Be

Too Well They See
That Our Longevity
Is In The Depth
Of Our Unity...

Too Well They Ignore
That We Were The First
To Be The Salt Of The Earth…

My People…

WE ARE A TREASURE
INFINITE IN OUR VASTNESS
WISE FROM OUR HISTORY
NOBLE IN OUR HUMILITY
