    my nightmare began
when I found my every waking
    moment saturated in cold sweats
    and hours upon hours
    living memories filled with regrets

don't know the exact hour when my trip
    turned into my ultimate fall
    from grace

enter "my muse".... and my salvation
with just a glimpse of her face

she said... call me not your sister
    nor am I a friend...
    dumbfounded by her riddle she
simply took me... by the hand

    guided by my pain
her beauty set the words free
and tears of anquish mixed with
    passion.....
    rained from deep in me

    she was clever at uncovering
    secrets I had carefully hidden
she made me look at the ugliness,
    the wicked and forbidden

    but she accepted my humble
    offerings and encouraged my
    broken spirit
    she commanded me
    to speak the words that
    other souls may hear it

I came to need her by my side
    she invaded all my dreams
    but sometimes muses only "touch"
not yielding to "feel" (it seems)

    my nightmare began
    when I realized her days
    with me are done

    ...she left her silhouette
inside each setting of the... sun

    you.

hmmm... well... 1st i'll say... it is indeed wonderful
to read you again... even if it is melancholy. :)
& i don't think our muses ever really leave us...
their flow just sometimes changes direction... it's
    up to us to follow...

    thank you for sharing.

    ...sometime muses only "touch"

Every now and then one reads or hears something that answers so many of life's questions. Thank you for this.
