Somewhere between paradise and diaster
Occupation
Teacher
When I encountered the prosperity of the wicked
My foot almost slipped off of my appointed path
I couldn't comprehend the wicked prospering
While the righteous man struggled to make do
But then a small voice said envy not the wicked
For everything is not always what it seems
Yes they look blessed at this moment
But their prosperity has no foundation
So when the storm of life start raging
They start sinking without an anchor

Yes my child right now things look a little rocky
But you are yet standing in the very midst of it all
When others would've not been able to withstand your test
Even so many have crumbled under a lesser weight or burden
Quite a few would've lost their mind had your life been theirs
But yet you are able to still able to make it through it all
So know that your blessings and reward are on the way
For without the battle or struggle their would be no blessings
To whom much is given much is required my child

My foot almost slipped,
But God caught me in the nick of time
No longer will I envy the wicked
For I know beyond a shadow of doubt
That which God has for me is for me
So no longer will my foot almost slip
For I am now devoted and determined
To go all the way on the path appointed for me

One of my favorite gospel songs by Yolonda Adams has the lyrics...

"Ive been through many hard trials, through temptations on every hand. Though Satans tried to stop me and to place my feet on sinking sands."

This piece really made me reflect and take a moment to thank the Lord and ask him to continually guide me and walk beside me day by day :read: :)

Love this message and lesson!

envy not the wicked
For everything is not always what it seems
Yes they look blessed at this moment
But their prosperity has no foundation

I've heard it preached that one shouldn't envy the wicked because "You don't know what they had to do to GET it nor what they have to do to KEEP it."
