my favorite place
to be ~
inside those eyes
those beautiful orbs
of light reflecting
your years
of seasoned loving
aged to perfection
with time

my favorite place
to be ~
upon those lips
~when you call
my name,
they smile and
miraculously
without
touching my skin,
kiss all of me

my favorite place
to be ~
on your mind,
remembering
our times
of absolute joy
and abject pain
we’ve shared
will share
again/again/again
&again

my favorite place
to be ~
in your arms
soaking up the
rays of light that
fill you, the heat
of my being
thrills you ~
I feel your body
sway our rhythm
naturally, and
s-l-o-w-l-y
we rock ‘we’
(remember, ‘dance with me’?)

my favorite place
to be~
in your heart
every chamber
filled with this
new woman
I am
every
syncopated throb
beating
“I-know-we-can”

my favorite place
to be ~
inside your gold-
spun poetry
my essence
coursing through
your pen
you ink
A-L-Y-C-E
love letters
that come
alive when you
set me free

my favorite
place to be~
beneath/beside/above you/buried deep
inside of
me
