Looking deep within
My Diva’s soul
I see so many promises
That I have placed on hold
Things for self , growth and prosperity
Wishes , hopes and dreams
Left untended by the men who could not see
Me
The inner beauty that lies within
Caught up in the rapture
Of them
I forgot
...........Me
The Diva her strength and character
Greatness granted by the good God above
I laid aside me to tend to their needs
And mine was never given a thought a push or a shove
Looking deep within
My Diva’s soul
I see the future as it unfolds
Newer dreams and deeper hopes
Brighter horizon’s and broader scopes
Happiness given by me alone
Promises made carved deep in stone
Never to be broken or set aside
I’ve been reborn with strength of pride
All I can see are endless roads
as look deep within my Diva’s soul
