Just like any other day in London
They got up, went to work, paid the bills, and moaned about how slow the bus was goin'
It is sunny and warm
The bus rolls steady without alarm
There is one lady that sits in the corner of the bus soothing her child
She cries because she's sleepy and her head aches mild
Another lady on the top of the double Decker looks out the window in denial
She wonders why her boyfriend didn't come home last night for a while
The man that she thinks about is on a subway train heading to the home they share
Thinking up a lie for his girlfriend before he gets there
He spies a woman reading a book with long blonde hair
She looks up to him and smiles as he heads over
But before he can head over a big woman in a maid's uniform bumps him back into his seat
She carries the frown of a mad woman because she had to stop what she was doing to go cross town to get her boss something to eat
And the bunion is swollen so big on her feet
She sits down next to a black man with long dreads down his back
He frowns as the lady takes off her shoes, a smell so terrible he has to sit back
He daydreams of a woman and the passion he holds for her
Just last night they were making sweet and dirty love together
The woman he dreams about is across town on another subway train
She heads to work in a business suit with Elijah on her brains
She's so much in a daze that she drops her paper
A man across from her picks it up and admires her
He starts a smooth conversation with the woman and forgets he has a wife
A wife which is on another subway train just blocks away
His wife of many years is a journalist
She loves her husband and innocently proclaims to everyone she's proud to be his
She thinks back just hours before when they left with a morning kiss
And just hours later when she was doing her boss on his desk
She feels a mess
As she looks over at her boss sitting next to her
With a smile on his face as he admires the man next to him
Yes, he's an undercover brother but the woman next to him is his gem
The man he admires name is Jim
Jim is a construction worker and is no way a undercover brother so he looks away
He looks at a picture of him, his wife, and three kids
He's a family man and works for everything he's did
A woman sees him looking at the picture and asks about his kids
The first to be mentioned is his daughter Breesha
She's on the same double Decker from the start talking to Serena
They gossip about Gina in the front of the bus who just stole Serena’s man
As Gina sits nervously in front waiting for her stop
Her stop is coming up fast but not fast enough
So she starts conversation with the bus driver who's buff
They talk and they talk never hearing the timer under the bus as it ticks
Time passes, tick- tock- tick
Before long there will be chaos and people running frantic
Three subway trains and a double Decker hit
Thirty three lives and counting from what some mindless terrorist did
Killing for a cause, man that's stupid
If these people would have known this was going to happening they wouldn't have got on the train or subway I bet
My Deepest Sympathy London!!!!!!!!!!!!
US, London, or where ever everybody is from
I just wish we could quit the madness and get alone
Everyone ain't gon' get their way, but does that mean we should bomb?
If I was president I would work with everyone
It wouldn't matter if they Black or Asian
There probably wouldn't be world peace but these attacks would be gone
Talking about life, well it would be a good one
But until then..... My Deepest Sympathy London!!!!!!!!!!
