You’re country sweet
You’re country fine
Good like country watermelon
Plump and juicy down to the rind

Strong country bloodline
You’re the daughter of a daughter
Of a daughter whose daughter
Fought massa off
She would not be victim to a rapist’s thirst
“Naw Suh…you got to kill me first”
That’s the kind of stock you come from
Country girl

Your smile a country mile wide
You move like a queen
Filled with country pride
Only the Lord knows
What you keep inside
Unafraid to laugh
Unafraid to cry

Your country heart filled with love
Other people are what you mostly think of
Country common sense
Mixed with plain old country truth
You know how to make love
You know how to care
Love you Country Girl
My breath of fresh country air

Only a fool in desperate desire to deny their roots
Sleeps on the south
Some of these second generation North or South Carolina (and deeper)
Misplaced (as they say down south) damb Yankees
Should take a little ride to the southern side
Take a sip and savoir the flava
Of the deeper side
Of their Yankee stride
