as i was shopping in a market in a better part of town, looking to get some last minute stuff before the Christmas shutdown, the manager (white) came over to me (black) and accused me of stealing.
he thought i had taken something off a shelf and put it in my pocket.
he thought, "my behavior was suspicious".

and here i thought i was too old to be a threat to anyone anymore.

Brothah James you know it was not your behavior but your color he found suspicious. You are guilty of possessing illegal amounts of melanin--a controlled substance. Age has nothing to do with it. That's how they are going to act but we don't have to see ourselves through their eyes.

Say you know I was just about to buy this but on second thought I think I will spend my money in a store where I the customer am treated civilly and with respect. Thank you sir. Good day. Tip your hat and be geese.

Left him with his mouth hanging open I'm sure, serves him right. His loss, not just the loss of a customer, but a loss of common sense. While he was busy accusing you, some young white knucklehead could have been steady filling his pockets....Just the irony of that possiblity, is so shameful, but so true. Yet our Black men still shine....peace to you brotha.

We don't hi jack airplanes or bomb buildings and we are still seriously under represented in the bank robbing industry. Where do you get the notion that we are MORE likely to commit crimes? More likely then who?

Whites are more likely to commit hate crimes so am I justified to think every bald headed white man is a skin head? Is everyone who wears a turban and has a middle east accent a potential terrorist?

African Americans are not more likely to commit crimes but we are more likely to have our race mentioned when we do commit crimes. Funny thing is when we do good things we're just Americans.
