    Offspring of the motherland
I am intrigued by your presence
    Your presence amongst those..
In the Land where your ancestors
    Where Brought...
Let me get some skin brotha.....
Let me see what God's skin feels like.....
Sable blackness..carved from the darkness of the universe...
Let me look in your eyes...which represent the stars...
I wanna kiss cheekbones so high...they represent..God's Power...
Let me wash hair that's like lamb wool...
Let me...rub feet that look like brass burnt in the oven..
and have walked on the soil of the cradle of mankind...
Let's laugh..and see teeth strong and white like Ivory...
While you tongue bathe my ears with stories in your Native Swahili Tongue..
Cleansing out falsehoods...and putting in truth and morals of these stories..
    Like you're Anansi....
Pushing rich like oil blood through your body...
    Let me show you love...
    Let me show you love...
    Sudanese..
    Tanzanian...
    Kenyan...
    The Ones I forgot..
    I love you all...
    I am your sister.
    You are my family..
    Lets love each other...

    The joy of African Pride

I enjoyed this poem so much I had to read it 3 times, just to let the words marinate and flow through my mind.

    Excellent work!
