i need to go my seperate way
gain a new world and a fresh day

i allowed you to hold me back
now i forgot how to act

you made me believe it was happily ever after
when this was just the end of my chapter

i gave you too much power
and as a man you took that honor

    you took everything i had
leaving me all sorts of bad

i formed my life around you
    everything you'd ask, i do

you molded me to do just that
you wanted me to wait, so i sat

i stopped it all, just to wait
but now its a little too late

as i cry my eyes out to accept this
with my heart still beating in your fist

its time for me to move on
even if that means being alone

our times seems to have expired
i guess im no longer a fighter

so i take my heart back to breath again
hopefully my love will return within
