    Making my exit
    From your life
I now see clearly what I couldn’t see before

I look around at shattered pieces
Something once close knit is now loosely woven
    Edges frayed, spots worn bare

I was a fling to you
    Something that was fun
An older Mama sexy and confident

    I became a broken record of why’s
    A detective of clues
Looking into why I no longer fit into your heart

I decided to give that up
It doesn’t really matter why you stopped loving me
It only matters that I survived it

    I move on
    Confident that I am beautiful
    sexy
    That men still want me

Afterall, i pulled your fine *** didnt I

I hear so many voices on the phone
    On the internet
    Over the e-mail
    I want you…I want you…I want you…
So I will oblige my wants and needs elsewhere

A permanent mark on my heart
    Who would have thought
    It would have been you
There will be no next time
