As I pen this piece of poetry
    My heart appears well kept

Even tho the blues I write
Pens out to what I reject

I reject the pain that made me slave
To forgiving what I can’t forget

I reject the breath of death
Which consumes with hate and makes a mom neglect

    I reject the mind that’s well-inclined
    To justify a beast

I reject the love that proves false
And makes my mom my enemy

For a mother puts herself aside
And she protects at all costs

My worse fear was to follow you
Because you spent a lifetime being lost

I never wanted to be like you
Although none could take your spot

For I am me and I am free
    And you I am not

Hopefully your peace and contentment is your mother's desire for you as well. Continue to express poetess.

i hate to hear about the distance b/w you and your mother. I don't know the story, but I do know what it like to not have a mother around. Someone has to be the bigger person. Forgiveness isn't always about letting the other person off the hook, sometimes it allowing ourselves the chance to lay our burdens down.

I hope you and your mother can reconcile. It will benefit you and her. Life is too short to waste time.

    Great poem

I wrote the poem... because not everyone has a great human mother....

    my mother has passed....

my mother ... she made her choices... time and time again...

the hardest pill to swallow would be that where I'm going she probably won't be there.......

I forgave her a long time ago.... her death was my release....

the only burden I ever felt really was trying change and forgive her ...

when reconciliation consitutes compromise then no reconciliation can be made......

I can't be one with her because in order to do that I have to sacrafice the very soul of me.......

I am very happy.. and delighted in the truth....

    I'm not the only one....

    thank you for understanding......

much love and peace to you

    Hi Miss Lady
    This is a great poem
    Focus
About the things you as a mother would like to be,
Sometimes it is the sad things that shine in our young life
that makes us a stronger person when the time comes
for us to take charge. We all learn from the good and the bad.
Let the ink keep flowing. There is a healing in the words that comes
from the depth of our soul. There is nothing wrong about feeling good, about you. Keep the faith..

    Peace ~N~Love

A Gangster Would say "You are Lucky"
But a True Person says "it's me"
Fo I am the Lucky one
    To have been freed

    Not to say completly
I can never be fully out of captivity
Well, at least untl YOU see
But I have meen percantagely redeemed

I can not say I don't need you
I wanted to say it SOOOO Bad
I am still angry at the situation
Because even now it makes me sad

    I moving on in Pursuit
You kow nothing of it at all
    There are still three others
who have a way to fall

Can I say I love you?
I reverse to words to say
Can yyou Say you Love me?
    Or do you love, anyway?

can I say I need you?
or would that turn you away7
If you say you needed me
    Would it make you Stay?

Wow!, how does one respond to a poem like that? So real, and sprinkled to the max with animosity and love. I can't express to you in words what I feel, so I'll take the easy way, tell you this was a nice write, and that I respect your poetic abilities, but deep inside of my heart please know poet, that I feel so much more, and I'm relating to you and grateful that you shared something so intimate as a mother's love, or lack of.
    Bless!
