    MOTHER TO BE

Hello to you Mother to be
    Belly full of great expectancy
Planted in your womb, seed of verility
In a world of barraness, beacon of fertility
    Motherly nature to be unearthed
    Destined prmise to be birthed
Miracle of Eve that God ordains
As with you as it is with life, blessings come from great pain
Your way is tribulation, and change due
Adjusting to the new life growing inside of you
Enlarging borders, making space, adding to the sum
Preparing the way for what is to come
Uncomfortable journey not to be postponed
Trial and travail in an experience all its own
Giving your physical resource; surrendering serenity
And through it all, you'll be alright, Mother to be

Hello to you Mother to be
Full of promise and unheard prophecy
Stretching the the limits of life in a coil to be uncurled
Carrying within you one who can potentially change the world
For a span of time 'till your term completes
One creature, within her, two heartbeats
Heartbeats that beat in times wild, in times mild
Hearbeats that beat of mother and child
Two lives in one, growing together with times persisence
Though uncomfortable, a bond of love makes for a peaceful co-existence
With a tender nurturing, given to be consumed
By a life in a universe known as the womb
    Living duality, throught conception, sworn
To grow, and later separate when comes time to be born
But always inseperable the bond of love, born free
Inherent in you, Mother to be

Hello to you Mother to be
About to give rise to infancy
Preparing to endure an experience true
A challenge experienced by many before you
Contractions heralding a life changing event
Committed to completion; a moment not to circumvent
A reality of struggle and pain in bringing forth your little one
Is the calm before the storm that you see on the horizon
From your loins will come a future King of Queen
    An Idealist with ideas unforseen
And extraordinary indivifual with wide reknown
Or just an ordinary person with a mind sane and sound
Whatever direction and affinity to which your little one goes
The future is unwritten, and God only knows
Wherever life takes you and yours, and to whatever degree
Take God with you, Mother to be

Hello to you Mother to be
    Soon to face an agony
Of grimacing pain; way past the line of maybe
Hanging on for dear life to birth a newborn baby
Bringing out a new innocence, impressionable by influence
Who will bear the reprecussions of wrong decisions, and reap the consequence
Of learning many lessons throughout its lifetime
With many paths to choose, before, during and after its prime
Train up the child in the way it should go
So when it is grown, it will know
The differences between right and wrong
And will grow to have integrity solid and strong
Your pain will be hard, and you will feel real hurt
When the time comes for you to bring forth life in an efforted extert
And when new life is born, and the unbilical cord is cut free
Your pain will be a memory, Mother to be

    Touched

I too get a sad feeling for the son/daughter (s) that is now resting peacefully with God in heaven.:)

Yet, I have faith that once married, God will bless me to share the experience of Motherhood.:angel1:

you leave me with a moment of weakness...

and speechless. Today I have to say something:

    bless you, poet!
