Father before I make any request
I thank you for all that has come before
For you have been better then I deserve
You continue to keep me upright and standing
Time after time making a way out of no way
In the palm of your hand I stand better than bless
On this day Father my first request is have your way
Lord Guide my footsteps in your appointed pathway
Help me to remain steadfast and focus on today
Father, my goal is to please you and not man
So help me to keep my eyes heavenwardly
And not worry about their opinions or decisons
For none but you have a heaven or hell to put me in
Before this day even starts I know there will be tests
So I am asking you to build me up on my weak side
So I am able to excel at all that shall come my way
If for a moment I begin to stray lead me back to You
For this year I promise to be exactly what you call me to be
No more or no less for I have learned you know whats best
No longer will I constantly try to do it my own way
For years I've tried my way and I realize it doesn't work
So on this year I dedicate myself to doing it the right way
On my own I am not capable, it's in you that I am able
Also Lord help me to realize no matter what comes today
That it is all working for my good no matter how it looks
For all thing works for the good of them that love the Lord
Lastly in this time of declared recession remind me who you are
For you are a mighty God, and you are not in recession
So you able to meet all my needs exceeding and abundantly
And in the precious name of my Lord & Saviour, Jesus I pray.
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

When I saw the title, I thought, wow, another Morning Prayer, preparing myself for the read. Just like the first one, I was agreeing with each line...these lines in particular:
Also Lord help me to realize no matter what comes today
That it is all working for my good no matter how it looks
No matter how bleak, I must remember that situations that are in the works, hardly ever look as good as the completed version. Thank you for this write poetess.
