Hush, and wait on God to give the increase
Proposition: We as believers don’t wait on God to give us the increase we try to act ourselves often times missing our blessing.
Text: 1 cor. 3:5-8
Often times we, as believers will take a problem or situation before God, as we should. The problem is this we don’t wait on him to give us and answer, which cause us to miss the increase, or blessing that he has in store for us.
1. Deu 9:16 they didn’t wait on Moses to return they urged Aaron to make an idol to worship.
2. 2 Samuel 22:1-4 You see David knew how to pray to the Lord and he waited on the Lords answer and because of that God delivered him from the hands of all his enemies.
3. Matt. 15:21-28 Their was a gentile woman who came to Jesus and cried out to Him saying have mercy on me. Her daughter was demon-possessed. You see if she had left when Jesus didn’t answer her she would’ve missed her blessing. However because she stayed Jesus said Women great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire. And her daughter was healed.
4. Jonah 1:1-3 You see the word of the Lord came to Jonah telling him to go to Nineveh and preach about their wickedness, but instead of listening to God he ran to Tarshish. Read until second Jonah 2:7
Final Thought: God is the way the truth and the light. All the answers that we seek are in Him. The bible declares that whatsoever you ask in Jesus' name believeing it shall be given unto you. God's timing is a little different then ours the minute you think he has left you thats the time when he carried you through. God is speaking to you right now are you listening?
