    We were friends
    and more than that
But, we were less than lovers
We were young but wise enough
    to learn from one another
So we took from one another
    just to understand the hurt
And when we looked at one another
It seemed our common ground was pain
But we needed more from one another
than either one of us would gain
    so we gave up
in the midst of all the things the surrounded us
    And we lost touch
got camouflaged in everything around us
Then I found out that he'd moved on
And a part of me got jealous
The bigger part of me is rebelous
So, I never found the time to tell him
I havent seen him in a year now
except last night when I was dreaming
    He was feeding me cheesecake
    on a toothpick
like he knew what I was thinking
But, see I was only dreaming
I hear he's writing word he spoke about
and he got that from me
I been writing words with rhythm
and I got that from him
His ink is on my pencil
and my lead is on his pen
so I sketched him in the pages
just to tell him where I'd been

Ahhh, memories and moving on and "the way we were" and "Do I ever cross your mind, any time"

That's what this piece evoked for me.

    Nicely done.

    Evenin' Karma...

Though we sometimes move on, meaningful things of people who made their mark remain. I love this piece, its very touching.
