I wonder if solitude is really silent,
sitting still, searching secret midnights for serenity,
my peace of mind lying dormant in a piece of my mind
    so far disconnected
it’s hard to recall a time when
I just looked at the moon
    out of simple pleasure,
treasure the tranquil beauties locked in each mysterious spot…
like appealing scars, or birthmarks, that unlock mysteries
what’s really going on up there?
or even here, for that matter,
    cause I can’t fathom how
    for centuries we’ve existed
    on this green earth,
    and still can’t understand
    how to:
fall in love, without fearing hearts being shattered,
live in peace, without war lurking always at hand,
share out thoughts, without limited minds taking offense,
be ourselves, without learning someone feels we’re not enough,
    it’s rough, so I sometimes wonder…
when minds wander, where do they go?
    do they find sweet relief…
    nestled somewhere
    off between indigo reefs,
sighing deep into clean blue skies,
digging their toes into the sands of no contemplation,
watching the tides of stress-less-ness rise?
    or do they sit,
    wedged, like doorstops,
    underneath mounting problems,
stress locating them by the glow
    of indigo moonlight,
panicking when realizing there’s no way to solve them
    (the problems, that is)

so…..I wonder, is solitude really silent,
or just a clamorous accumulation of sounds, gone unheard?
as I sit…figuring since I can’t seem to solve my own dilemmas,
try to differentiate indigo from blue…
lighted by the glow of the moon

Perhaps, just perhaps they know who really holds the future and unlike us they submit to his plan and move to his command, but when they don’t they come tumbling down in a burning flame of fire. (lol)
This was an excellent and very thought provoking piece, my apologies if you fail to see the humor in my last line, but you know it’s true.
