    I’ve experienced a moment of solemn
    But not the kind you find when pain
    Appears or death visit a newborn but
    A solemn that leaves me in reflection;

    I’ve experienced a moment of still
    In the midst of rushing to and fro
    Leaving me helpless to the grasp
    Of another chance at meditation;

    I’ve closed my eyes to envision
    The serenity of darkness so that
    My senses could reflect upon the
    Voices near and not the pictures;

    I’ve captured the essence of still
    In a painted dream of meadows
    And rivers flowing gentle in the
    departure of a Savannah sunset;

    I’ve fallen into it’s hypnotic trance
    Carrying me along the shores and
    Leaving me resting in the meadow
    As the clouds form pictures of joy;

    I’ve desired to stay here many days
    And just relax against the willow so
    That I could allow the warm breeze
    Of summer breathe into my loc’s;

    To be continued…when I return from my rest…maybe…

    Mr. D

    You will never know how timely the reading of this poem was to me. The very mood of this poem, is the mood my spirit is in this week. I have some time off and tonight I plan on taking a folding chair with me to the beach. The moon is full, the stars are crystal clear in Destin Florida. I simply want to ''meditate quietly'', on the goodness and greatness (is dat a word?) of God.

    Enclosed within your poem, are many poems that can only be seen and brought forth fully, by the Spirit. The reader (me and others) can always come back and gather something for the mind that they did not see before. Below are just some of the lines that grabbed my mood of the moment.
