Black People : Molefi Asante’s Insane War on BAR and the Black Radical Tradition

are you saying that every time in your life that you didn't get along with another person of African descent, it was "divide and conquer"?
Can there be no substantive disagreements between black people?
within the context of the destruction of the north philly black community by temple university it is indeed divide and conquer.

the failure of black people to be able to get along....divide and conquer

I could agree with this. Hard as it is, no reason for Black men to lose their composure. Malcolm recently made it look cool; but Malcolm came around to a well-composed alliance.

It's smart to say who works for Police and be non-speculative; but if we fan flames of discontent with one another, building isn't even an option.

in philly the universities sit in the middle of what was once a working class black neighborhood. i grew up next to the university of pennsylvania.
over time, the jobs left the 'hood and the universities got fatter. endowments over a billion.
the university wants to expand and gentrify. that's what white people do.
this leaves the black people pushed out with no where to live.
the socialists and radicals have joined with the community to fight the expansion of the university.

dr monteiro is a socialist and lives in the community. dr asante is a nationalist and pushes a new mercedes.

the new dean wants to fire dr monteiro and put the stank on dr asante.

a classic situation where the two brothers fight while the white power remains in the background.
these are two highly educated brothers. they both teach liberation. they're both afro centric.
what are they doing fighting?

divide and conquer even works on black people who should know better.

This is ridiculous. The systemic nationalist vs. Marxist debate goes back at least to 1978.

No wonder these negroes never grow up!
