hi, there is a modeling competition on e.l.f.'s website where you can vote for models to win and the top 4 get to go to new york.
thing is there is only 1 black woman in the top 20 and she is receiving many racist and negative comments. :(
we need to help her out please vote for Portia she needs out support !

please go to the "eyeslipsface" website and vote for her (Portia Allen)
SHE'S IN 4th PLACE - so close, but she might lose it

    also, she is Rerun's daughter

Maybe it's just me, but then why support her to win in a racist competition? That's like me winning a sheet folding contest in the KKK. Nothing gained.

I disagree. She needs our support against the haters. Great now there's a new comment making fun of her weight with a song. Why is the world so cruel?

Maybe Ebony Fashion Fair would be more for her then. I'm not trying to dissuade her from being a model or anything, but when you enter a competition in a white company where, white values of beauty are projected, then you can expect the type of harassment & treatment that you say shes experiencing. It may not be fair or right, but just the way it is. It's what happens when we start to think that blacks are wanted & respected by white society; when we start seeing that whites have gotten past the "color thing".
