The issue isn't with the pastor. The pastor doesn't own the church. That article clearly states that the church has a 100+ year history. So the pastor is just an employee of the church. And he did marry them at another venue.
This foolishness just shows and proves that racism isn't cured, it just went underground. And these Black folks are old enough to know better than to trust white folks.
My question is why these Black people chose to worship at a white church in the 1st place? If they church board refused to marry them, I'm certain the church board has refused their participation in other activities.
