    Tis ever beauty’s shallow depth
    That slays the soul
    Both right and left
    And fades to wit
    As hazy smoke
    All memory’s gone
    Of beauty’s smote

I’ve gazed upon the beautiful shell
Of men and women whose mind did fail
To touch the depths their spirit did go
Being shallow of mind…they did not know

Having failed to feed their intelligence flow
Their stymied mind refused to grow
…To expand beyond its physical plain
For imaginative fuels…it did not gain

And, so, its boundlessness stood well bound
By encrusted shells both tall and round
And beautiful though those shells may be
Without a mind…they’re meaningless to me

    MANY THANKS...my peeps

for your kind words and generous support

Along the southern shores…she peacefully crept

Her eyes as deep as the ocean’s depth

    Six feet tall
    And physically blessed
Sleek and slim…in a flowing black dress
With sculptured thighs…and a tapered waistline
Her smile eclipsed the morning’s sunshine

    That girl was fine

    “Hello,” I said
As she turned in my direction
    The sun’s reflection
    Shimmying across the ocean’s face
As if to race away (from her beauty)

    Then…

    She uttered a sound
‘Twas not a pretty sound she made

She had verbs tripping over nouns
    And pronouns
    And adjectives acting like adverbs
    With prepositions being served up
    (Everywhere)
    She didn’t even care
    Or did not know
Why I stopped…and gazed her so

    if you don't know...you don't know.

Great pieces, Bro Baller! The first one is the essence of lyrical poetry and the second is so satirically on point!
