    The few, the proud
    The fallen
Set toward a dawn and a callin'
    Fists ballin’
    And
    Raised in reaction
    For their fight

    They blaze into the sunrise
    Backs to the coming night

    Fathers
    Brothers
    …lovers

    I
    Light a candle for you
And I place in my heart
To spare you from the dark
    Because your road
    Is so far

    This
    I send to you,
    As the shadows fall away
    Into evening shades of grey,
    The first star at dusk,
    The last light of day…

    And I can only pray

    That the sun never sets
    Or if it should...
    It’ll rise again
    And burn again
    For men
    For wo-men
    For them

    For you

That was poetic (not all poetry is).

A lot deeper and sensual than I thought it would be when first reading the title. It was heartfelt, and it shows.

    A lovely read, much appreciated.
