    Windows dropped
    the highways sings accompaniment
as cool random notes race about my ears
Chuck Loeb fills the space with
    measured triplets and smooth transitions
    The chill air releases me
guiding me through my sun slot
opened to the night cloaked sky
    sixty-eighty-one hundred miles an hour
hugging the concrete with mechanical grace
freedom rides level with my ears
creasing my face with a freedom smile
beneath my hands, smooth guides translate
    tactile contact into jazzed vision
and syncopated reflex rides shot shotgun
with the breeze and I and many Miles to go.

I used to have a convertible, but now only a sun roof, but the wind whipping through and the stereo blasting still enlivens my soul--Ra
