Yvain/Savannah
Luch was a relaxing affair. Etta James' 'At Last' played on the piano by this white man with more than his share of soul *smile*
Savannah, as ususal was casing the joint for fine men.
"Girl, that on at the bar has definitely got to be packing much beef in those slacks Humph!" This said with a chuckle and in the manner as only Savannah could do.
Of course my attention was elsewhere. Lord, God! I could have **** near choked and killed that bastard!
At this time the feeling of his hands on my skin caused me to cringe and literally want to die!
"Girl why aren't you talking? Whats on your mind?" Savannah asked.
I turned toward her. "Huhn?...Oh...I'm sorry Savy, I...I have other things on my mind." I said turning to stare out the window.
"Oh, Its about that husband of yours. Well girl what will you do? Do you have any proof? What?" She asked.
I shook my head no and silence resumed. This was the first time Savannah didn't really pry into my business.
"Savy, I'm sorry I'm not good company...I just, i'm at a lost right now. I mean its like I know he's wrong and a part of me believes that this s*** is true but then I still love him...its weird as h***!"
Savannah looked at me with this I know-this-b****-didn't-just-say-that look. "Yvain, are you serious? That n**** is wrong and he's a cheat and lie and a motherf*****g deciver! Girl you need to get your s*** straight and face some facts! That is not love, that is pure stupidity!"
I sat back shocked and a little bit upset at this ***'s outburst.
"Savannah how the h*** can you tell me i'm dumb when your situation is pure s*** as well? Girl you're still with that wife-beater of a bastard just because his bank roll is big and so is his d***! So who's the dumba**?"
I was heaving and huffing, anger and embarassment evident. She sat looking at me with a cold expression on her face. "That s*** did not need to be said Yvain, no matter what!" She drank her wine and turned away.
The atmospher suddenly went cold and I grabbed my s***. "Look, Savannah, we've both said some things that were out of line, but I can't deal with this right now, so i'll be in touch." I walked out of the establishment and into the sunlight, greeted by the freshness of the air and the all around beauty
only to be confronted with the sight of my husband at the light kissing another b****!"
I feel my unstable world shake and crumble and self-control with it. I drop my s*** and take off running toward the light and intersection, oblivious of any of the oncoming traffic. I run like a mad woman, only dimly hearing Savannah screaming my name in horror.
I run toward that n**** car. "You Motherf*****g B**** get out of the car!" and other vulgar obsenties flow from my mouth. The light quickly changes and the car races away. I'm left in the middle of the intersection hair askew and heels of one of my fendi's broke. In the middle of the intersection still muttering obsenities with tears and mascara streaming down my face in rivers.
Savannah came up behind me out of breath and in horror. "Yvain! Are you crazy? You could have died!"
I turned to her, my face snotty and wet, full of mascara and tear streaks just hard down crying.
"Girl, that n**** is cheating on me! Savannah, he was right here kissing some b****!..." She couldn't finish her statement. I grabbed her in a powerful embrace, both of us oblivious to the fact that we were in the middle of a busy intersection being observed by everyone.
"It'll be alright." I kept whispering against her head as she cried and cried. I was chilled to my bones when she looked up at me with this psychotic look in her eyes; her tear and mascara face giving her a look of pure horror.
In a cold and controlled husky voice she replied.
"I will kill him and his b****!" She seemed to be talking to herself and laughed manically. "Yeah, that n**** will die!"
Somewhere in the sunshine and breeze, I could have sworn that I heard the bell toll death! A cold shiver of fear consumed me.
