Mi dreadz started out as two-strand twists
    Medium in length
    Newborn baby wisdom antenae
    Purposefully beginning their destiny

    Some say
Why believe yo hare can be
    Spirit-u-are-ly
    Anything...?

    Mi dreadz I twist
    And patiently
    I come to find
This is not just in my mind

You see I begin to practice meditation
Changed my food from junk to nourishment
    Learned to luv just becuz
See from my third eye without even trying

Mi dreadz is not a fashion statement
They represent the energy in me...outward
Each one different from the other
    They have their own personality

Mi dreadz grow as my life goes
Each has a mind of its own
Twistin, tanglin, finding it's own path
    Interlockin, happily nappy for life
